Principle and Objectives:

- Viet Nam - Russia Friendship Association (VIRUFA) is a voluntarily-established social organization, aiming at gathering and uniting Vietnamese citizens and organizations interested in or related to activities on people-to-people relations with Russia, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of its members and organizing effective Viet Nam - Russia people-to-people exchange activities.

- The Association endeavors to enhance and expand traditional solidarity, friendly cooperative relations and mutual understanding between the peoples of Viet Nam and Russia; to leverage sympathy and support of the Russian people for the cause of national construction and defense of the Vietnamese people; to consolidate and develop bilateral cooperation on economics - trade, science - technology, education - training, culture, sports, tourism, etc. between Viet Nam and Russia for the benefit of the people of both countries, for peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.
