The nearly-half-an-hour documentary chronicles the important events of April 30, 1975 in Sweden, demonstrating the spirit of standing shoulder to shoulder between the world’s peace-loving forces and the Vietnamese people.
In the video message sent to the Hanoi event, the then cinematographer Bo Öhlén said, “April 30, 1975 was surely a great day for Viet Nam, but it was also a significant day for tens of thousands of Swedish young people who for more than a decade have been supporting Viet Nam's struggle."
"In those days, I was a cinematographer at Swedish Television. And on the very victory day, I grabbed my camera and together with other filmmakers we documented how the Viet Nam supporters in Stockholm spontaneously took to the streets to express their joy.”
