Principle and objectives:

- Viet Nam - Azerbaijan Friendship Association (VAFA) is a voluntarily-established social organization, aiming at gathering and uniting Vietnamese citizens and organizations interested in or related to activities on people-to-people relations with Azerbaijan, protecting the rights and legitimate interests of its members and organizing effective Viet Nam - Azerbaijan people-to-people exchange activities.

- The Association endeavors to enhance and expand traditional solidarity, friendly cooperative relations and mutual understanding between the peoples of Viet Nam and Azerbaijan; to leverage sympathy and support of the people of Azerbaijan for the cause of national construction and defense of Vietnamese people; to consolidate and develop bilateral cooperation on economics - trade, science - technology, education - training, culture, sports, tourism, etc. for the benefit of the people of both countries, for peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world, contributing to the socio-economic development.

Main activities:

- Organizing annual activities to commemorate major holidays and important events of Viet Nam - Azerbaijan relations.

- Coordinating delegation exchanges between Viet Nam and Azerbaijan.

- Organizing events to exchange information on the situation of the bilateral relations in various fields, with a focus on promoting people-to-people exchanges between the Association and domestic and foreign partners.

- Promoting cooperation in economics, trade, investment, culture, education, and tourism between organizations, businesses, and universities of Azerbaijan and Vietnamese partners.
