The ceremony was attended by Nguyen Ngoc Hung, Vice President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations; Yuan Min Dao, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Lan Hongjun, Vice President of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies and Foreign Trade; and young people from Viet Nam and China.

Looking back on the journey, Yuan Min Dao, Vice President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, said that over the five days, the delegates had gained many useful and memorable learning experiences.
One of the key components of the program was learning about historical milestones in Viet Nam-China relations. At the historical site of the Political Training Class for Vietnamese Youth, the delegates learned about the revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh nearly a century ago. The delegation also paid tribute at the grave of martyr Pham Hong Thai, a Vietnamese patriot who sacrificed his life in Guangzhou in 1924.

Vietnamese youth also learned about Guangdong’s development experience through thematic lectures, enterprise visits, and activities to learn about the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, the circular economy and sustainable development. They also took part in the Viet Nam-China Youth Dialogue.
According to Yuan Min Dao, these activities helped young people from the two countries gain a deeper understanding of each other’s history and development experiences, while further deepening the bonds of affection of being “comrades and brothers.” He expressed his hope that young people would become inheritors of the traditional China-Viet Nam friendship, promote cooperation between the two countries, and contribute to building a China-Viet Nam Community with a shared future of strategic significance.
He also said that the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries would continue coordinating with the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations to consolidate and develop the “Red Journey for Study and Research,” creating more opportunities for young people from the two countries to interact and learn from one another.
Nguyen Ngoc Hung, Vice President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, said that over the five days, Vietnamese youth had studied, interacted, conducted research and gained practical experiences, while learning more about history, culture, science and technology, innovation, transport infrastructure, the green economy and the circular economy in Guangdong.

According to Nguyen Ngoc Hung, besides the knowledge and practical experiences gained, the most valuable aspects of the journey were the mutual understanding and friendships formed among young people from the two countries. Therefore, as the “Red Journey” comes to an end, he hoped that the young participants would regard it not as an endpoint, but as the starting point of a greater journey of responsibility, sharing and jointly shaping the future.
Vice President Nguyen Ngoc Hung called on young people from both countries to continue learning each other’s languages, conduct joint scientific research projects, pursue innovative start-ups together, promote digital transformation and the green economy, protect the environment, and share authentic and positive stories about each other’s countries and people.

He also hoped that Vietnamese youth would learn from Guangdong’s spirit of innovation, courage to think and courage to act, turning scientific knowledge into a driving force for practical development. At the same time, he expressed his hope that Chinese youth would continue to learn about, accompany and strengthen their ties with Viet Nam.
At the conclusion of the program, Vice President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Ngoc Hung and Vice President of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries Yuan Min Dao presented certificates of program completion to the Vietnamese youth delegates.
