During the meeting, Mrs. Claire Lachance expressed her gratitude for the support of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations. She was pleased to learn that the projects implemented by ReSurge International in Viet Nam are operating effectively. The hospitals and partner doctors of the organization continue to expand training and capacity-building efforts, thereby enhancing the skills of the Vietnamese medical staff and providing more opportunities for examining and treating children with congenital disabilities.
In light of changes in U.S. foreign aid policies, ReSurge International has ensured the continuation of its activities in Viet Nam. The organization is also working hard to seek additional funding from individual donors.
Vice President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Ngoc Hung highly appreciated the activities carried out by ReSurge International in Viet Nam over the past 30 years. The organization not only provides opportunities for medical treatment but also changes the future of Vietnamese children with congenital disabilities, while improving the capacity of Vietnamese doctors. The Vice President expressed his pleasure upon learning that ReSurge International has chosen Viet Nam as one of the priority areas for its upcoming activities.
According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Hung, the relationship between Viet Nam and the United States is at its highest point, with the two countries now comprehensive strategic partners. In this context, U.S. non-governmental organizations have made positive contributions to maintaining and promoting bilateral relations. The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations is ready to support ReSurge International in its future activities and hopes that the organization and Mrs. Claire Lachance will continue to share information about Viet Nam with U.S. partners and donors.
