At the meeting, Vice Chairwoman of the provincal People's Committee, Le Thi Thin briefed the Ambassador on the overview of the geography, potentials, strengthens as well as the economic – socio development of Thanh Hoa in recent years, , adding that she wished the friendship between Cambodia and Thanh Hoa province would gain great achievements in cooperation and development.
For his part, Ambassador Park Nguon Hong thanked Phu Tho for the warm welcome, emphasising the traditional friendship between Cambodia and Vietnam and adding that in recent years, two countries have preserved and promoted the good neighborliness and traditional friendship.
Vu Mao, President of the Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Association stressed that the sponsorship activities and assistance to students in Cambodia is an important initiative of the VCFA, aims at helping the Cambodian student get use to the life in Vietnam thus strengthening the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia.
Meaningful projects such as “Nurturing The Seeds of Friendship", which encourages and facilitates Vietnamese families' taking care of Cambodian students, will be continued carrying on across the nation, he added.

The meeting took place in a friendly atmosphere. Two countries’ representatives have enjoyed performance by local artistes praising the country, the people of Vietnam and Cambodia; the traditional friendship between the two peoples.
After that, the delegation of Cambodian Embassy, Central Vietnam – Cambodia Friendship Association and 50 Cambodian students had a visit to Lam Kinh Historical Relic in Xuan Lam Commune, Tho Xuan District, Thanh Hoa Province.
Here, they have a chance to visit a well-known historic relic related to the life and career of King Le Thai To, a famous king in Vietnamese history, and the uprising of the Lam Son troops in the 15th century.
Before ending the trip and heading back to Hanoi, the delegates also visited the God Fish Stream - a fascinating tourism destination in Luong Ngoc village in Cam Luong commune, Cam Thuy district. It is better known with a unique and special type of fish, weighing from 2kg to 8 kg each, that often swims densely in the stream. No one in the immediate areas knows exactly what type of fish that is, but it is called the God Fish due to many mystical stories on these special creatures.

The delegation has a look at the Vinh Lang stele, which featured the life and career of King Le Thai To. The stele, made of sedimentary rock, is 2.79 metres high, 1.94 metres wide and 27 centimetres thick.
