As part of the visit, the Viet Nam-Austria Friendship Association organized a meeting and seminar with Vietnamese intellectuals, scientists, and young professionals who are living, studying, and working in Austria.
The seminar brought together Vietnamese doctoral candidates, international students, and experts working at Austrian universities, research institutes, and technology companies. Participants shared their experiences in study and research while discussing prospects for cooperation among research institutions, universities, and businesses of the two countries.

Discussions focused on several key fields, including artificial intelligence, robotics, information technology, mechanical engineering, quantum technology, and nuclear technology. These are areas in which Austria has recognized strengths and which are also among Viet Nam's priority sectors for development.
Speaking at the seminar, Professor Dr. Tran Tuan Anh commended the achievements of the Vietnamese intellectual community in Austria. He emphasized that Vietnamese experts and scientists overseas constitute an important resource for the country's scientific and technological development as well as its international integration.
The President of the Viet Nam-Austria Friendship Association expressed his hope that young intellectuals and scientists would continue serving as bridges to strengthen academic exchanges, research collaboration, and technology transfer between Viet Nam and Austria.

The delegation also held a working session with the Embassy of Viet Nam in Austria to discuss measures for promoting scientific and technological cooperation and strengthening coordination in people-to-people diplomacy.
During the meeting, Vietnamese Ambassador to Austria Vu Le Thai Hoang introduced Viet Nam's multilateral diplomatic activities in Vienna, which hosts numerous international organizations, including the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space (COPUOS).
The Ambassador also briefed participants on initiatives undertaken by the Embassy to connect research institutes, universities, and businesses of the two countries. Several forums on cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, humanoid robotics, and digital transformation held in Vienna have attracted the participation of Vietnamese and Austrian scientists, experts, and technology enterprises.
Participants noted that Austria's strengths in science and technology, innovation, and high-quality human resource development provide favorable conditions for expanding bilateral cooperation in research, technology transfer, human resource development, and networking among scientific institutions, universities, and businesses.

During the visit, the Viet Nam-Austria Friendship Association, in coordination with the Embassy of Viet Nam in Austria, organized a ceremony to present the Friendship Order, conferred by the President of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, to Dr. Peter Jankowitsch, former Austrian Minister of Foreign Affairs, President of the Austria-Viet Nam Association from 1998 to 2022, and its current Honorary President. The Friendship Order was also presented to the Austria-Viet Nam Association as a collective.
The awards recognize the enduring contributions of Dr. Peter Jankowitsch and the Austria-Viet Nam Association to fostering friendship between the peoples of Viet Nam and Austria.
On this occasion, the delegation also visited and held working sessions with the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), the Austrian Academy of Sciences, TU Wien (Vienna University of Technology), and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). During these meetings, the two sides exchanged information on research, education, and policy advisory activities, while exploring opportunities to establish additional cooperation links between Vietnamese scientific institutions and their Austrian partners.
