The Vietnamese National Coordinating Committee for ASEAN People’s Forum (APF) on 26 March 2016 organised a meeting on ASEAN Community and the participation of Vietnamese NGOs in the APF 2016.
The meeting attracted representatives of different Vietnamese NGOs nationwide and social networks working in such fields as women’s rights, children’s rights, climate change, natural resources, the environment, immigrants, water resources….
The meeting provided participants with general information about the ASEAN Community, opportunities, challenges and the role of Vietnamese NGOs in building a people-oriented community of solidarity, cooperation and development.
The meeting also elected a National Coordinating Committee for APF 2016 and discussed the preparation and participation of Vietnamese NGOs in the forum.
