Within the framework of the official visit to Viet Nam and attendance at the 2nd ASEAN Future Forum by New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon (February 25-28, 2025), the two countries have signed a Joint Statement on upgrading Viet Nam - New Zealand relations to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
In recent years, trade between Viet Nam and Sri Lanka has reached about 300-350 million USD per year. Sri Lanka has invested in around 30 projects in Viet Nam while there are four Vietnamese restaurants in Sri Lanka
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stressed that the Vietnamese Government will always stand by businesses to foster breakthroughs, unite strengths, and shape the future, keeping ASEAN a dynamic, innovative, and growth-centered region that benefits all member countries.
