At the meeting, Phan Anh Son congratulated the people of RoK on the successful presidential election. He said: RoK and Viet Nam have similarities in history and culture. Viet Nam can learn from RoK's experience in the economic development model to promote growth.

Phan Anh Son thanked KOICA for supporting the implementation of activities of RoK's non-governmental organizations in Viet Nam. The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations is committed to actively coordinating with KOICA in upcoming activities, and is ready to connect KOICA with partners and localities in Viet Nam. The Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations hopes that KOICA will continue to exchange information and proactively propose to improve the effectiveness of cooperation between the two sides.

KOICA Country Director in Viet Nam, Lee Byung Hwa, noted that the KOICA Viet Nam office has been operating for over 30 years. To date, it has supported the implementation of more than 400 projects by RoK's NGOs across Viet Nam, including 10 currently underway in 2025. The projects focus on areas of interest to Viet Nam, such as education, healthcare, public administration, agriculture, and environment.

Lee Byung Hwa highly appreciated the participation of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and the People's Aid Coordinating Committee (under the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations) in the recent KOICA's activities. He expressed his hope that the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and the People's Aid Coordinating Committee will continue to pay attention and coordinate with KOICA to support the activities of RoK's NGOs and connect NGOs of both countries.
