The cultural exchange between Vietnam and South Korea implemented by educational institutions is a shining example of international friendship. The Vietnam - Korea Quang Ninh College (Ha Long, Quang Ninh) has a large number of staff and teachers who have certificates issued by KOPO Organization (Korea Polytechnic University). The college's tourism department is also planning to cooperate in training, scientific research, and technology transfer with Korean partners.

In 2022, Ha Long University (Ha Long, Quang Ninh), the Korean Embassy in Vietnam and the Korea Foundation for International Exchange (KF) co-hosted the opening ceremony of the Korean Cultural Corner in Ha Long University. This program was sponsored by the Korean Government to create a learning and cultural exchange space for Vietnamese students, to bring the Korean language and culture closer to local people.
This Korean Cultural Corner is a testament to the formation and development of the Korean industry in Quang Ninh. It not only promotes the cooperation between Ha Long University (Ha Long, Quang Ninh), the Korean Embassy in Vietnam and the Korea Foundation for International Exchange (KF) but also strengthens cooperation and cultural exchange between the two countries in general.
At the Korean Culture Corner, there are books, video tapes and other materials about Korean culture. There is also an exhibition space introducing traditional photographs and artifacts of Korea.
From 2019, Ha Long University officially opened the Korean Language department. Regarding the important role of foreign language learning, Director of the KF Foundation Office in Hanoi Choi Jaejin believed that universities are the agencies that support the development of Korean studies, a typical agency for Korean studies.
"Recently, KF worked with Ha Long university to bring a native-speaking professor to teach Korean language. In addition, KF also supports the Korea Corner project so that young people can learn more about Korean culture," said the Korean director.

At the end of 2022, Ha Long University cooperated with the Korean Cultural Center to organize the first Korean Cultural Festival program in Quang Ninh. There were many exciting activities taking place such as food booth, Vietnam - Korea traditional costumes show, Taekwondo performance, art performances, Kpop dances and performance of Korean songs by Vietnamese folk musical instruments.
Previously, Ha Long Korean Foreign Language Center cooperated with Bai Chay High School to organize an extra-curricular program of Vietnamese - Korean Cultural Exchange. The program not only introduced Korean culture and language to students but also showed the beauty of Vietnamese culture to Korean students. Participants from the two countries enjoyed many programs, such as quizzes, Kpop music, Bac Ninh folk singing, traditional costumes show and making kimbap - a popular Korean dish. The extra-curricular program helped tighten the friendship between Vietnamese and Korean people as they gained mutual understanding and appreciation of each other's cultures.
In 2023, from July 19 to 21, in Ha Long City, the East Asia - Pacific Research Institute organized a workshop about Korea to the local high school teachers. The event was sponsored by the Korea Foundation.
During three days of the workshop, there were a total of 6 discussing topics: History, Culture, Politics, Society, Economy and Vietnam - Korea relations. At the program, the delegates talked to Vietnamese alumni of the programs who visited Korea. They also experienced the unique culture of Korea like wearing the traditional dress "hanbok", playing folk games and enjoying traditional Korean food.

During three working days, the teachers will listen to 6 topics, including: History, culture, political system, society, economy of Korea and Vietnam - Korea relations. At the program, the delegates exchanged and shared experiences with 3 delegates who had been invited by the Korea Foundation to visit Korea, experience the unique culture of Korea such as: Wearing Hanbok, playing games Korean folklore (arrow throwing, shuttlecock, gyro), enjoy music as well as some traditional Korean food.
There is an increasing number of cooperation programs between Quang Ninh and Korean partners. For example, Quang Ninh Media Center has worked with Korean media agencies such as Gangwon Radio and Television Station or Korean SG Group to promote activities on culture, education and tourism. They also exchange and foster human resources training, producing more content to promote the cooperation potentials of the Quang Ninh and Gangwon, to further tighten the friendly cooperation relationship between two provinces in particular and two countries in general.
Also, Quang Ninh Media Center strives to bridge for SG Group and economic groups of Quang Ninh and across the country to create new cooperation opportunities,supporting people in need, especially women, people with disabilities, people living with difficult situations in the province.
