Ambassador Kmoníček shared that Czech carmaker Skoda is on track to complete a USD-500 million automobile plant in Viet Nam in March. Skoda Auto, one of Europe's oldest and most prestigious automobile companies, along with Thanh Cong Group, is spearheading a project to construct an automobile manufacturing and assembly plant in Viet Hung Industrial Park, Ha Long, Quang Ninh. With a total investment of $500 million, this facility is projected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025. Notably, this will be Skoda's first car manufacturing plant in Southeast Asia.
In addition, in the first half of 2025, the Czech Minister of Finance and the Czech Senate President will visit Viet Nam.
On the same day, the Viet Nam - Czech Friendship Association organized the Viet Nam - Czech Friendship Tennis Tournament, which was participated by 20 doubles teams.
