The meeting saw the attendance of Nguyen Xuan Thang, Chairman of the Vietnam - China Friendship Association; leaders of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), Hanoi Municipal People’s Committee and other Vietnamese goverment agencies; representatives of Vietnamese who have studied and worked in China; Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo and Chinese officials.
Speaking at the meeting, the Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations Nguyen Phuong Nga congratulated the Chinese people on outstanding achievements in the past 70 years and wished the Chinese people, under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, would actually accomplish the socio-economic development objectives set by the 19th National Congress and continue to achieve greater achievements.
The Chairman of VUFO affirmed that the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam - China Friendship Association, along with the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign countries and the China - Vietnam Friendship Association, have made efforts to organize meaningful and effective exchange activities, and will continue to work closely with Chinese partners to have more practical activities to enhance the friendship between the two peoples.

In the speech, the ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Vietnam Xiong Bo highly appreciated the contributions of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, the Vietnam - China Friendship Association and the China - Vietnam Friendship Association in promoting exchanges, contributing to strengthen the traditional friendship, which has been established by the senior leaders of the two countries.
