Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga said that Vietnam and India have a long-standing traditional friendship. The people of the two countries have maintained a close relationship for thousands of years and have many similarities in culture, lifestyle, in the struggle for justice, peace, and happiness.
Vietnam appreciates the great support of the Indian people during the past struggle for peace and the present national defense and construction.
She said that ISCUF and VUFO have had many years of cooperation. The ISCUF regularly sends delegations to visit Vietnam. Cultural visits and exchanges are opportunities for the two countries' relations to develop and for for the people of the two countries to further understand each other.

Mohanty Bijay, Vice President of ISCUF, head of the delegation said, in India, he often hears people mention Vietnam and President Ho Chi Minh. During wartime in Vietnam, many Indians, including ISCUF members, made efforts to raise money to support Vietnam.
Delegates expressed admiration for Vietnam's revolution and emphasized the similarities between the two countries. In the current international and regional context with many complicated and unpredictable developments, the solidarity between Vietnam and India is even more valuable.

For their part, the leaders of the Vietnam - India Friendship Association hoped that in the future, they could cooperate with ISCUF to organize diverse activities and festivals. At the same time, they hope that ISCUF members can inspire young Indians to continue to develop friendly relations between the two countries.
The ISCUF delegation, consisting of 17 members, visited Vietnam from July 6-10. The delegation visited a number of monuments and landscapes in Hanoi, Ninh Binh, and Quang Ninh, and worked with the Unions of Friendship Organizations of Hanoi, Ninh Binh, and Quang Ninh.
