In recent years, the training of Laotian students has been one of the important political tasks of Son La province in cooperation with education and training with other Lao provinces.
From 2015 to 2023, there will be nearly 3,000 Lao students studying in Son La. Among them, more than 2,000 Lao students have completed the training program. Currently, nearly 1,000 students study at Tay Bac University, Son La College, Son La Medical College, and Son La Culture, Arts and Tourism College. Son La province has had many solutions, programs, and plans to concretize the Party and State's policies on cooperation in training human resources for Laos. Since 1969, Son La has helped other provinces train officials. Up to now, thousands of officials, pupils, and students from Northern Laos provinces have studied at educational establishments in the province.
In addition, Son La also issued policies to support Lao international students while studying at universities, colleges, and intermediate schools in the province.
