Dang Van Chi, Professor of Oncology at Johns Hopkins University and Scientific Director of the Ludwig Cancer Research, said that the delegation wanted to connect with Vietnamese partners, universities, and institutes to support Vietnam in building a liver cancer biobank, transferring technology, and providing medical examination and treatment services. They also want to hold training and offer Vietnamese doctors the opportunity to participate in their project regarding liver disease and liver cancer treatment.
Assistant Professor, Doctor Dao Y Doan, Director of the Center of Excellence for Liver Disease in Viet Nam (COE), Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine said he hoped to receive VUFO's support in registering a legal entity and implement the Center's upcoming activities in Vietnam.
