Plan International Viet Nam Provides Emergency Relief of 1.5 billion VND to Tuyen Quang

Plan International Viet Nam deployed an emergency support package worth EUR 50,000 Euros (equivalent to VND 1.5 billion) in response to the recent heavy damage from rain and floods in the Northern side of Viet Nam, specifically in Tuyen Quang province.

The support package aims to meet the essential needs of affected households, especially children, and those who need to stabilize their lives after the effects of the rain and floods.

With nearly 20 years of operation in Tuyen Quang and the former Ha Giang area, Plan International Viet Nam continues to affirm its commitment to long-term companionship, in both cases of emergency and of recovery and sustainable development after natural disasters.

According to the Viet Nam Disaster and Dyke Management Authority (Ministry of Agriculture and Environment), by the morning of October 11, Typhoon No. 11 had caused 18 deaths and missing, 10 people were injured. It also caused 1,577 houses to be damaged and severely damaged; 230,197 houses were flooded (of which Hanoi alone also had 8,186 houses. Up to now, Hanoi still has 5,743 flooded houses.
