Seminar: Promotes Diplomacy and Deeper Global Integration in New Era

The Viet Nam Peace and Development Council held a seminar titled “Promoting diplomacy and enhancing international integration in the new era of development in line with the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress” on March 6. The event attracted the participation of many researchers, experts, and officials working in the field of foreign affairs.

In his opening remarks, Ha Hung Cuong, President of the Viet Nam Peace and Development Council, emphasized that as the world is undergoing rapid changes, Viet Nam’s foreign affairs work needs to continue strong innovation in both thinking and implementation methods. This would help create a favorable international environment for national development and enhance Viet Nam’s position on the global stage.

At the seminar, participants focused discussions on several key issues related to strategic orientations for foreign affairs in the new period. In a presentation titled “New thinking and strategic vision on foreign affairs of the 14th National Party Congress,” Dr. Nguyen Hai Luu, Deputy Director General of the Department of Foreign Policy under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress calls for continued promotion of the foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization, and diversification of international relations, while proactively and actively integrating more deeply into regional and global cooperation mechanisms.

The seminar focused on clarifying solutions to effectively implement the foreign policy guidelines set out in the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress, particularly in the context of strategic competition and complex fluctuations in the current international situation.

Opinions at the seminar suggested that continuing to renew thinking, improve the quality of international integration, and promote the role of various diplomatic channels would make an important contribution to consolidating a peaceful and stable environment while creating momentum for Viet Nam’s sustainable development in the new period.
