Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) held a meeting with Ms. Anjuska Weil, President of the Swiss-Vietnam Association on Oct 28 in Hanoi.
At the meeting, Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga confirmed that VUFO always appreciates the special affection that Ms. Anjuska has for the country and people of Vietnam and the activities of the Swiss-Vietnam Association during the last 40 years.
In response, Mrs. Anjuska expressed her desire to continue cooperating with VUFO in delegation exchange between Switzerland and Vietnam. She discussed the plan for some of the Association's young members to visit Vietnam for the first time by the end of this year. In particular, they will travel to many cities and provinces across the country to gain better understanding about Vietnam.

Ms. Anjuska hopes that, after the visit, the young members will learn about the beauty of the country and people so that they can actively participate in the projects of the Association in Vietnam.

Another guest at the meeting was Savadoran-Swiss diplomat Anita Cristina Escher. She is the former Ambassador of El Savador to Germany and she is here for the first time during a business trip.
Also, she proposed to bring Savadoran veterans delegation to visit and learn about historical combat sites in Vietnam through meeting with Vietnamese veteran delegation, visiting the Ho Chi Minh Trail, etc.
Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga thanked Anita for her interest in working with VUFO and will connect Anita with the Vietnam-El Savador Friendship Association to realize her idea.
