Tet gifts, chung cake made for disadvantaged people

Beyond its charitable significance, the programme also aims to introduce domestic and international visitors to the unique cultural values of Viet Nam’s traditional Tet, while raising public awareness, particularly among younger generations, of the responsibility to preserve and promote the cultural identities of Viet Nam’s ethnic groups.

The organiser plans to prepare around 610 gift packages, each worth 2 million VND (76 USD). These gifts will be presented to policy beneficiaries and disadvantaged households in various localities, including Quang Tri and Cao Bang provinces, several communes in Hanoi, centres caring for Agent Orange/dioxin victims, and ethnic communities living and working at the Viet Nam National Village for Ethnic Culture and Tourism.

Beyond its charitable significance, the programme also aims to introduce domestic and international visitors to the unique cultural values of Viet Nam’s traditional Tet, while raising public awareness, particularly among younger generations, of the responsibility to preserve and promote the cultural identities of Viet Nam’s ethnic groups./.
