Laos Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Vietnam Sengphet Houngboungnuan made a similar statement May 19, 2021, when receiving more than VND 600 million (nearly US$ 26.100) and 225,000 masks sent to Laos people by VUFO and Central Vietnam - Laos Friendship Association. He stated that the concern and support of VUFO and Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association was a great source of spiritual encouragement to help the Lao people overcome difficulties, affirming neighborly and traditional relations between the two countries.
