Many representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam, and Ambassadors, representatives of foreign embassies in Viet Nam and of departments, branches and provinces of Viet Nam attended the event.
Speaking at the ceremony, H.E., Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the UAE to Viet Nam Bader Almatrooshi said that 2024 marks an important milestone in the relationship between the UAE and Viet Nam. The visit of Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh to the UAE earlier this year has achieved many important results, including the upgrading of relations between the two countries to a Comprehensive Partnership. The two sides also signed the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) and many Memorandums of Understanding on cooperation between corporations and private enterprises.

Cultural exchanges between the two countries in recent years have also witnessed much prosperity, he said. All the above achievements reflect the determination of leaders at all levels to bring the friendship between the two countries to a new level.

Ambassador Bader Almatrooshi believes that bilateral relations between the two countries will enter a new stage of development in both traditional and new areas of cooperation, and trade turnover will exceed the amount of US $12 billion last year.

The "Wonder of the Desert" has emerged as a global economic, financial and tourism hub, showcasing outstanding achievements and iconic landmarks, while preserving and promoting the rich, quintessential values of traditional Arabic culture.

The UAE's successes in many fields have inspired countries around the world, including Viet Nam, proving that no matter how challenging the situation, as long as there is vision, aspiration and perseverance, success will definitely come.

Hang stressed the three outstanding achievements in the bilateral relations between Viet Nam and the UAE. Both sides strengthened political trust, reached increasingly substantive economic cooperation, and conducted extensive cooperation at multilateral forums.

She believes that, with strong bilateral relations, the unique strengths of each country as well as the strong commitment of the leaders, the two countries will inspire each other to move forward together to realize the common vision and desire for development for a brighter, prosperous, and happy future. These efforts will meet the aspirations and interests of the two peoples, making a meaningful contribution to peace, cooperation, and development in the region and in the world.
