President Nguyen Phuong Nga introduced the organizational structure and operation of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations. Among VUFO's member organizations, the Vietnam - UK Friendship Association has held many activities to strengthen the relationship of solidarity, friendship, and cooperation between the people of Vietnam and the UK, and consolidate and develop the relationship between the two countries in terms of economy, trade, science, technology, education - training.

According to Nguyen Phuong Nga, the UK is one of Vietnam's important partners. With the two countries' potential, based on the established relations, people-to-people diplomacy between Vietnam and the United Kingdom still has ample room for development.
Mark Kent expressed his pleasure to return and witness the development of Vietnam. Considering that the two countries have reopened after COVID-19, he hopes exciting activities would be organized to strengthen people-to-people exchanges and cooperation.
The two sides agreed to coordinate in organizing activities to promote bilateral relations towards the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations (September 11, 1973 - September 11, 2023), including seminars, academic exchanges, cultural exchanges, and photo exhibitions.

Nguyen Phuong Nga believes that, with experience, understanding, and affection for Vietnam, Mark Kent will make positive contributions to promoting Vietnam-UK people-to-people exchanges and strengthening the cooperation relationship between VUFO and the Vietnam - UK Network.
