Speaking at the ceremony, Le Anh Quan, Vice Chairman of the Central Council of the Young Pioneers organization, stated that after more than a month since its launch, the contest has attracted thousands of entries from children across the country. The paintings convey messages of love, reflecting the children's understanding and heartfelt sentiments toward Cuba and its people, as well as the special friendship between the two nations.
The artwork is diverse and vivid, portraying the Vietnamese and Cuban flags flying together, the friendly smiles of children from both countries, and the image of Uncle Ho alongside President Fidel Castro. The paintings also depict meaningful cultural and sports exchange activities. Each stroke expresses pride, admiration, and a dream of strengthening the friendship between the young generations of Viet Nam and Cuba.

The first prize-winning entry belongs to Nguyen Hoa Tra My, a student of class 5D at Le Loi Primary School (Son Tay Town, Hanoi). The painting stands out with its vibrant colors, featuring a red plane with the word "VIET NAM" at its center, carrying smiling children flying to Cuba—a land with rows of green palm trees, distinctive domes, and Cuban children enthusiastically performing traditional art. "I want to express the attachment, joy, and spirit of sharing between the children of both countries," Tra My shared.
The contest resulted in the Organizing Committee awarding 65 individual prizes to primary and secondary school students, including 1 First Prize, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, 4 Encouragement Prizes, and 55 exhibition painting prizes. The 65 best works were selected for display and presentation to Cuba during the Central Delegation of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union's visit from April 21-23, 2025. This symbolic and meaningful gift emphasizes the close relationship between the young generations of both nations.
