The Argentina-Vietnam Culture Institute (ICAV) recently marked its 25th anniversary (December 18, 1997-2022) at a ceremony in Buenos Aires.
Patricia Abarzua, President of the Chile-Vietnam Cultural Institute also attended and shared joy on this anniversary.
In her remarks, ICAV Chairwoman Poldi María Sosa reviewed operations of the institute over the past years, saying its diverse activities are intended to promote the history, culture and achievements of Vietnam, thereby contributing to the enhancement of understanding between the two countries.
Apart from photo and painting exhibitions, talks and film screening, the institute has organised trips to Vietnam for many delegations, including university lecturers, doctors, engineers and artists, among others.

Poldi Sosa also shared the deep feelings of many Argentines for Vietnam during the most difficult years of the previous struggle for national independence, as well as the process of nation building and economic development today.
ICAV has also organised many group tours, with the participation of university lecturers, doctors, engineers, artists and admirers of Vietnam, so that more people can understand and experience more about the renovation process, about the diverse traditional culture, as well as the hospitable Vietnam and its people.
The ICAV President affirmed that, through practical experiences in Vietnam, many Argentinians love the S-shaped strip of land more and more and gradually become active members of ICAV, participating in exchange activities. and promote, contribute to expand understanding and connection between the two peoples.

He urged the institute to raise more practical initiatives to intensify exchanges between the two countries and promote the image of Vietnam in Argentina.
Argentina was one of the first countries in Latin America to establish diplomatic relations with Vietnam and, over the almost five decades, the relations has been increasingly strengthened and developed, helping the two countries become important partners of each other in the current period.
Earlier, a high-ranking delegation of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) led by Politburo member and Chairman of the CPV Cental Committee’s Commission for Internal Affairs Phan Dinh Trac paid a working visit to Argentina from October 22 to 26 as part of their tour of Latin America.
