On May 23, in Hanoi, the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association, the Russia-Vietnam Friendship Association, the Pushkin Institute in Hanoi, and the sponsor of the Fund to promote the development of Russia-Vietnam cooperation "Traditions and Friendship" coordinated to organize the 6th International Painting Competition "I draw Vietnam - I draw Russia" in 2022.
Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, leader of the Pushkin Institute - Ms. Ekaterina Bakeeva, Minister Counselor at the Embassy of Russia in Vietnam - Ms. Elena Bezdetko, the Russian Ambassador to Vietnam’s wife and representatives of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Hanoi, representatives of the Department of International Cooperation, the Ministry of Education and Training, representatives of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, and the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association in Hanoi.

At the awarding ceremony, Mr. Trinh Quoc Khanh, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association expressed his pleasure that the contest had taken place successfully. He said the award ceremony took place on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Association/ Traditional day of the Vietnam-Russia Friendship Association (May 23, 1950 - May 23, 2022). This is also a meaningful activity to continue celebrating the Vietnam-Russia Cross Year "Vietnam Year in Russia and Russia Year in Vietnam".
Ms. Ekaterina Bakeeva, Minister Counselor at the Embassy of Russia in Vietnam, highly appreciated the children's entries, their understanding of Russia's culture, and their unique and rich ideas about the world around them. Ms. E. Bakeeva said that this painting contest plays an important role in promoting the development of friendship and good relations between the two countries Vietnam - Russia.
Nguyen Tieu Bao, a student of class 8A4, Trung Van Secondary School (Hanoi), the author of the painting “Russia - Vietnam unites love” (second prize in the group of 13-16 years old) shared: "This is an opportunity for me to express my love for my country Vietnam in general and my special affection for Russia that I love so much - a country for which I know a lot of literary works, through fairy tales, via television. The contest entry with the theme "Russia - Vietnam unites love" is the accomplishment of many days of thinking about a peaceful and prosperous world. The connection between Russia and Vietnam, which has been maintained for a long time, is even closer and more durable.
The sixth contest received 57 entries by child authors of three ages: from 6 to 8 years old, 9 to 12 years old and 13 to 16 years old. The jury assessed that the works through the contests are getting better and better, this contest has had a wider range of creative ideas. The children authors mentioned hot global issues such as combating the COVID-19 pandemic, environmental protection...
At the ceremony, the organizers also launched the seventh "I draw Vietnam - I draw Russia" painting contest.
Guests and contestants participating in the contest have a souvenir photo taken together.
The jury unanimously decided not to award the Grand Prize for works in three age groups. All winners were given prizes accompanied by a Certificate of the Contest Organizing Committee. In addition, the organizers also gave gifts to teachers with many students participating and winning prizes and also gave souvenirs to candidates who attended the award ceremony.
