The Union of Friendship Organisations and the Viet Nam–China Friendship Association (VCFA)'s chapter in the southern province of Ba Ria–Vung Tau on May 8 hosted a friendship exchange to mark the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Viet Nam and China (18 January 1950 – 2025).
Speaking at the event, Huynh Van Danh, Chairman of VCFA Ba Ria–Vung Tau, emphasised that senior leaders of the two Parties and States had agreed to further deepen and elevate the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership, and to build a Viet Nam - China community with a shared future that carries strategic significance, for the happiness and well-being of the two peoples.
Looking ahead, the provincial Union of Friendship Organisations and VCFA Ba Ria–Vung Tau will continue to serve as a bridge for people-to-people ties by organising various cultural and friendship exchanges in the province. These efforts aim to consolidate and enhance the long-standing traditional friendship between the people of the two countries.
Over the past 75 years, cooperation between Viet Nam and China at the national level has flourished. Vibrant collaboration between localities, ministries, and sectors of the two nations has significantly contributed to the growth of bilateral trade. For Ba Ria–Vung Tau province in particular, China remains a reliable and important partner across multiple sectors.
The province is now home to 19 Chinese-invested projects with a total registered capital of approximately 224 million USD. These investments are mainly in leather footwear manufacturing, garment production, seafood processing, mechanical engineering, and other industries.
During the programme, delegates enjoyed vibrant performances celebrating Viet Nam–China friendship, and explored exhibition booths showcasing Vietnamese and Chinese calligraphy as well as traditional tea culture./.
