In her remarks, Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga said during his tenure in Vietnam, Ambassador Fernando Apparício da Silva has made positive contributions to strengthening Vietnam - Brazil relations in many fields, promoting good traditional relations, solidarity, and beneficial cooperation between the peoples of the two countries.
Ambassador Fernando Apparício da Silva has wholeheartedly supported the Portuguese - Vietnamese Dictionary project. During Covid-19 restrictions, he invited many renowned scholars to speak in virtual conferences to introduce and promote Brazilian history and literature to Vietnamese people. He organized Brazilian film weeks in Hanoi and HCMC; visited and talked with students at many Vietnamese universities.
The Brazilian diplomat also focused on increasing trade between the two countries. He has invited many Brazilian businesses to visit and explore the Vietnamese market. Trade seminars with the participation of a large number of Vietnamese and Brazilian businesses have been successfully organized by the ambassador and the embassy.

Expressing his honor to receive a noble award from VUFO, Ambassador Fernando Apparício da Silva thanked the Vietnamese people for their hospitality and friendliness.
On this occasion, Ambassador Fernando Apparício da Silva also congratulated Vietnam for its achievements in overcoming the Covid-19 pandemic. While he would leave Vietnam after his tenure, Vietnam would always stay in his heart, said the diplomat.
