On the morning of December 13 in Hanoi, the Center for Cultural Exchange and International Cooperation - CCIC under the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations in collaboration with the Center for Training and Cooperation of Vietnam - Czech held the launching ceremony of Czech cultural corner.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Trung Dung - Director of CCIC said that Vietnam and Czech Republic have a long-standing relationship. Many Vietnamese who have studied and lived in Czech have given great love to the country and people of Czech. In particular, the Czech-speaking community considers Czech as its second home and is making an important contribution to preserving the lasting relationship between the two countries.
As its primary mission, CCIC wishes to create a cultural space in which people who have studied and worked in Czech will have the opportunity to review good memories while the younger generation has the opportunity to approach, learn and experience Czech culture, Mr. Dung said.
Mr. Lukas Music, Counselor of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam said, during the past year, the Czech Embassy has organized many cultural exchanges in Vietnam, one of the activities in Hanoi is film screening about Czech and Slovakian. The Ambassador also revealed that a Czech Center will be established in Vietnam next year. In Asia, to date only the Republic of Korea and Japan have had the Czech Cultural Center, Vietnam will be the third country.
Lukas Music, Counselor of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam, said that next year the Czech Republic will set up a Czech Center in Hanoi.
In the cold winter of Hanoi, the group of Hoa Vien, including those who had studied and worked in the Czech Republic, warmed up the atmosphere of the launching ceremony with famous songs tied to Vietnamese students at Czechoslovakia.
