Addressing the event, VMFA Chairman Tran Thanh Nam said over the past 70 years, the friendship and cooperation between Viet Nam and Mongolia have continuously developed and achieved many remarkable accomplishments.

In September 2024, during the visit to Mongolia by Vietnamese Party General Secretary and President To Lam, the two countries upgraded their relationship to a comprehensive partnership and agreed to expand cooperation in terms of politics, defence – security, and law enforcement, economics, trade and investment, as well as practical cooperation in agriculture, science, transportation, culture, sports, tourism, education, labour, environment, and social welfare.

The people-to-people exchanges between Viet Nam and Mongolia have developed over many decades, becoming a solid foundation for the friendship between the two countries, and deepening mutual understanding and respect between the peoples of both nations, contributing to stable and sustainable development of their bilateral relations, Nam said.

He expressed his belief that the VMFA will continue to contribute to strengthening the friendship and people-to-people diplomacy between the two nations.

Mongolian Ambassador to Viet Nam Jigjee Sereejav stated that his country considers Viet Nam an important partner within ASEAN, and a "third neighbour”.

He highlighted the strong development of the bilateral relations, saying that the friendship and traditional relations between the two nations have created a solid foundation for promoting the relationship.

The diplomat highly appreciated the VMFA and Vietnamese friends' significant contributions to promoting the friendship and cooperation between the two nations, expressing his belief that the Viet Nam – Mongolia cooperation will expand and grow stronger in the coming years./.
