Malaysia has invested in Vietnam since the 1970s and is now the second largest investor in ASEAN to Vietnam. The Malaysian Ambassador hopes to promote cooperation between the private sector of the two countries, which is an important component of the two countries' people-to-people relations.
Regarding tourism, Malaysia is among the 10 largest Asian tourist markets of Vietnam. With the resumption of direct flights between Hanoi and Kuala Lumpur from February 2023, Ambassador Tan Yang Thai believes that many opportunities will open up for exchanges between the two countries.

In 2023, Vietnam and Malaysia will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, an important event for both countries. VUFO and the Vietnam - Malaysia Friendship Association look forward to working closely with the Embassy to hold commemoration activities.
