The traditional friendship and good cooperation between Viet Nam and Bulgaria have been built on the basis of trust, understanding and willingness by the generations of leaders and people of the two countries.

The purpose of the Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association is to strengthening and expanding the traditional friendship and mutual understanding between the two peoples; taking advantage of the Bulgarian people's support for the cause of building and defending the Fatherland of the Vietnamese people; consolidating and developing economic, trade, science and technology, education and training, culture, sports, tourism, etc. between Vietnam and Bulgaria, for the benefit of the two peoples. It also contributes to the socio-economic development of each country, for peace, cooperation and development in the region and the world.

In addition, Huong said that the fourth National Congress of the Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association was held successfully on April 19th in Hanoi. In the coming time, the new executive board will continue to inherit and promote positive results, as well as implement the cooperation agreement between the two friendship associations period 2016-2021 signed in Hanoi in 2016.

"As people who have studied, worked in Bulgaria, we always considered Bulgarian as the second fatherland," said Huong. “We always remember and would like to express our sincere gratitude to the Bulgarian government and people, to the teachers and Bulgarian friends who enthusiastically communicate their knowledge and expertise to their students."

She also pledged to do all it can to further consolidate and develop the friendship between Vietnam and Bulgaria.
