Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh emphasized: “During the struggle for national liberation and the

process of national development, the Party and people of Viet Nam and China have always given each other great support and assistance. In the 1950s and 1960s, following the commitments of Chairman Mao Zedong and President Ho Chi Minh, Guangxi served as a rear base for Viet Nam. Many Vietnamese schools were established there, training talents for Viet Nam with heartfelt support from the Chinese government and people."

He affirmed that the Viet Nam-China Friendship Association will continue to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, especially between border provinces. Strengthening ties with Guangxi will not only enhance mutual understanding but also lay a solid foundation for sustainable development.

Party Secretary Chen Gang expressed that he had heard many stories about President Ho Chi Minh and the Viet Nam-China relationship. He praised Ho Chi Minh as a great leader and national hero cherished by the people of both countries.

He also highlighted the historical significance of Duc Tai Que Lam school, calling it "a vivid testament to the Viet Nam-China friendship." He described meeting former students of the school as a valuable and meaningful experience, expressing gratitude for their contributions in fostering bilateral relations. He acknowledged that each person carries valuable and meaningful stories. He encouraged them to continue sharing their experiences to promote friendship between the two nations.

Representing the former students, former Director of the Institute of Physics at the Viet Nam Academy of Science and Technology Tran Xuan Hoai, who is a former fifth-grade student at the Vietnamese Children's School in Guilin, expressed deep gratitude to the Chinese government and people. He stated:

"We will never forget the years when the Chinese people took care of us with all their hearts, 'sharing their food and clothing' so that we could grow up in love and kindness. Those children later became talented individuals—among them were hundreds of generals, key leaders, scientists, and artists. They played a role in developing the country and strengthening the Viet Nam-China friendship."

During the meeting, delegates and guests shared stories of friendship and memories from their time studying in China. They expressed their wishes for the Viet Nam-China relationship to remain strong and everlasting.
