Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Anh emphasized: “During the struggle for national liberation and the
process of national development, the Party and people of Viet Nam and China have always given each other great support and assistance. In the 1950s and 1960s, following the commitments of Chairman Mao Zedong and President Ho Chi Minh, Guangxi served as a rear base for Viet Nam. Many Vietnamese schools were established there, training talents for Viet Nam with heartfelt support from the Chinese government and people."
He affirmed that the Viet Nam-China Friendship Association will continue to promote exchanges and cooperation between the two countries, especially between border provinces. Strengthening ties with Guangxi will not only enhance mutual understanding but also lay a solid foundation for sustainable development.
Party Secretary Chen Gang expressed that he had heard many stories about President Ho Chi Minh and the Viet Nam-China relationship. He praised Ho Chi Minh as a great leader and national hero cherished by the people of both countries.
He also highlighted the historical significance of Duc Tai Que Lam school, calling it "a vivid testament to the Viet Nam-China friendship." He described meeting former students of the school as a valuable and meaningful experience, expressing gratitude for their contributions in fostering bilateral relations. Those children later became talented individuals—among them were hundreds of generals, key leaders, scientists, and artists. They played a role in developing the country and strengthening the Viet Nam-China friendship."
