Addressing the ceremony, Vice President in-charge and Secretary General of VUFO Don Tuan Phong stressed that the award aims to acknowledge the ambassador’s contributions to the friendship and cooperation between the people of Viet Nam and Korea.
Phong highly appreciated the Ambassador on his active efforts to enhance cooperative relations between Vietnamese and Korean ministries, departments and localities over the past two years, helping further deepen the Vietnam-RoK strategic cooperative partnership; hoping that after returning Korea, the ambassador would continue to contribute to the friendship and cooperation between 2 nations.

Ambassador Lee Hyuk expressed his great honor and joy to receive the medal “For Peace and Friendship among Nations”; thanks for the support and cooperation of the VUFO as well as the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Association.
The Ambassador treasured his two years in Viet Nam. He witnessed the friendship and cooperation between Korea and Vietnam growing strongly in all fields, especially economic cooperation, Korea and Vietnam become indispensable partners of each other.
The Ambassador voiced his wish and determination to further strengthen the cooperation between Korea and Viet Nam, and also pledged to continue efforts to boost the cooperation in his new position.
