Tran Thi Thu Thuy, Head of the Southern Representative office of VUFO; Duong Nguyen Tuong, Vice President of SOSENDERVIE; leaders of Vinh Long Union of Friendship Organizations and Binh Tan district People’s Committee attended in this event.
The school was built in the 200m2 area, with the worth of 21.831 USD (510 billion VND) in which SOSENDERVIE donated 11.1228 USD (260 billion VND). The construction was expected to be completed and put to use in the 2019 – 2020 school year.
According to the report of Binh Tan district Department of Education and Training, the district had 5 schools: 1 secondary school, 3 primary schools and 1 kindergarten. Most of people were farmers with the low income, therefore, schools’ facilities were in the shortage.
Le Van Sia, director of Binh Tan district’s Department of Education and Training shared that “the support of SOSENDIVE and Vinh Long Union of Friendship Organizations eases the teacher’s concern about the deprived life of students and the difficulties of school and contribute to develop the local education”.
Tran Thi Thu Thuy said that SOSENDERVIE was one of the reputed and passionate organization in education. The organization sponsored to build classrooms in many provinces. In Mekong Delta, SOSENDERVIE chose Vinh Long as the first province to support and provided teaching equipment.
In the following time, SOSENDEVIE will continue to help Vinh Long and neighboring provinces. Thuy also expressed her hope “when the school’s construction are completed, students will have opportunity to approach the qualified environment to study and particularly, they get better care for their well-being and development.
