Canadian navy crew presents cash worth nearly VND 180,000,000 to Nhan Ai Shelter.
Nhan Ai Shelter (Cam Ranh, Khanh Hoa) is where over 100 orphaned, abandoned, street kids are taken care of. During the visit to the Shelter, the Canadian navy officers spent time on playing games with the kids, re-painting equipments in the playing ground, presenting painting books featuring Canadian natural landscape to them.
Specially, thanks to the supports of Bloomer’s Legacy, the crew has sponsored Canadian USD 10,000 (nearly VND 180,000,000) to help build a new road for Nhân Ái Shelter. The new road is expected not to be submerged during rainy season and ensure safe travel for the kids, nuns and local people as well as help them avoid water-born skin issues.
The activities are part of the visit of HMCS Regina and NRU Asterix to Cam Ranh Harbour (Khanh Hoa province) from June 10 -13 with daily events scheduled to support the local population and build people to people ties.
According to Canadian Ambassador to Vietnam Deborah Paul, the visit of HMCS Regina and NRU Asterix with various charitable activities play a significant part in tightening two countries’ friendship, increasing more opportunities for cooperation between Vietnam – Canada in general, and between Khanh Hoa province and Canadian organizations in particular.
