The Francophone Cultural Exchange Day 2023 attracted the participation of nearly 300 people, who are students, teachers, French speakers and French lovers in Da Nang city.
The program took place with a series of activities such as Francophone football tournament, Francophone singing festival, online contest about Vietnam-France diplomatic relations and cooperation, painting contest, and the French Golden Bell competition.
After two exciting days, the organizers summarized and awarded the contests. For the online contest about Vietnam-France diplomatic relations and cooperation, 1 first prize, 2 second prizes, and 3 third prizes were awarded to the winners.
The Francophone painting competition attracted 40 students at three levels which have bilingual French curriculum. With the theme of the 50th anniversary of establishing diplomatic relations between two countries, the Organizing Committee awarded 2 first prizes, 3 second prizes and 5 third prizes for excellent painting works.

In addition, the Francophone Football Tournament and the Golden Bell Ringing Contest also awarded a first prize, a second prize, and a third prize to the winning teams and contestants.
According to the Organizing Committee, contestants have shown their creativity, artistic ability and full affection for the country and people of France. Many students demonstrated their deep knowledge and understanding of France, the friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and France.
A special activity in this event is the Da Nang City Francophonie Singing Festival which attracted 20 special performances praising the love, people and culture of the two countries. The Organizing Committee awarded a total of 9 prizes for the performances in the solo, duet and group sections.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Dr. Dao Thi Thanh Phuong, Chairwoman of the Vietnam-France Friendship Association of Da Nang City, Head of the Organizing Committee of the 2023 Francophone Exchange Festival said that the event is the opening of a series of cultural and educational exchange activities that will be held throughout the year 2023. In the past two days, students in the Francophone community and people who love France immerse themselves in the French cultural space with many rich and attractive activities.
"Hopefully, through these practical activities, the love of French culture will grow more and more in the hearts of the children and students, and they will be the links connecting the current Vietnam-France friendship and future", said Dr. Dao Thi Thanh Phuong.
Francophonie Cultural Exchange Day 2023 was jointly organized by the Da Nang Associations of Friendship Organizations (DAFO), the Vietnam-France Friendship Association of Da Nang City and other units. It was to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and France (12/4/1973-12/4/2023), 10th anniversary of the Vietnam-France Strategic Partnership (2013-2023) and the Celebration of International Francophonie Day (20/3/2023). |
