The Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association of Nghe An province on December 4 organized an exchange program to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand and the 95th birthday of the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej (December 5, 1927 – 2022), the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Nghe An's Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association (2002–2022).
Attending the program were the presence of: Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Party Committee; Ta Quang Ngoc - former Minister of Fisheries, Chairman of the Central Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association; Nguyen Lan Trung - Vice Chairman and Secretary General of the Overseas Vietnamese Liaison Association; Tran Thi Thu Huong - Vice President of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front; Tran Thi My Hanh - Director of Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports, Chairwoman of Provincial Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association along with representative of the Nghe An Union of Friendship Organizations.
Attending the event were also the participation of the Association of Vietnamese expat communities in the provinces of Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon, Khon Kaen, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Nong Khai and representatives of Thai businesses investing in Nghe An and more than 350 delegates.

After more than 20 years of operation, the Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association in Nghe An province has had many practical activities such as establishing and exchanging information with Thai partners, with Vietnamese expatriates living and doing business in Thailand; organizing friendly exchange activities on the occasion of major anniversaries of the two countries.
At the same time, acting as a bridge and focal point for activities on culture, sports, tourism, trade and investment cooperations between Nghe An and Thai partners; and opening Thai language classes, participating in charity activities, as well as encouraging its members to join in mass activities.
With these achievements and contributions, the association has been awarded many Certificates of Merit, Emulation Flags and other forms of commendation by the Prime Minister, the President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO), the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An Province, and the Chairman of the Central Vietnam-Thailand Friendship Association.

On this occasion, the Central Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association; Nghe An Union of Friendship Organizations; the Nghe An Provincial Fatherland Front Committee also honored collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in contributing to the association's development and people's external relations.
Also at the exchange, the Central Vietnam - Thailand Friendship Association and all its members wished to further strengthen people-to-people diplomacy activities, contributing to fostering the friendship and cooperation between the Vietnamese people in general, the Nghe An's people in particular, and the Thai people.
