According to Deputy Minister Kgwaridi Buti Manamela, South Africa attaches importance to consolidating friendly relations with Vietnam. The African country appreciates Vietnam's experiences and achievements in the revolution for national independence and the cause of building and developing the country. These are lessons for South Africa to develop its nation and the premise to boost closer and longer-term cooperation between the two countries.
The Deputy Minister said that to maintain and develop the South Africa - Vietnam people-to-people relationship, it is necessary to strengthen the connection between the two sides' young generations, educating them to be interested in effectively exploiting the strengths and potential for cooperation between the two countries.

Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga said Vietnam and South Africa have good traditional relations. The two countries support each other in the struggle for national independence and the process of national construction and development. In the past, many South African officers were sent to Vietnam to study. Vietnam and South Africa still have great potential for developing relations, she said.
Concluding the working session, Ambassador Nguyen Phuong Nga and Deputy Minister Kgwaridi Buti Manamela agreed to strengthen information exchange and cooperation in cultural exchange, education, and innovation activities towards the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
