Responding to the call of the President, the Prime Minister and the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, VUFO and its trade union launched a campaign to raise funds for the anti-pandemic effort, calling each officials and employees to contribute and support the prevention and control of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Accordingly, each officials and employees have donated at least one day's salary to support the pandemic prevention and control.
At the same time, the Friendship Union wishes to receive the material and spiritual support of the member organizations in the system of the Friendship Union, international friends and partners to help the Vietnamese people respond to the Covid-19 pandemic.
At the launching ceremony, Chairwoman of the the VUFO's trade union Nguyen Thi Thu Giang stated that promoting the tradition of solidarity and the spirit of mutual support, officials and staff of the ministry have donated at least one day's salary to support the Covid-19 prevention and control fund.
She added that the support and contribution of each organization and individual will be extremely meaningful and necessary at this time.

They donated more than VND 100 million (USD 4,300) to the combat.
The donation campaign to support Vietnam's Covid-19 prevention and control fund will last until June 6, 2021. Donations in cash and kind or medical supplies will be presented to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.
Vietnam recorded 50 more Covid-19 infections, including two imported cases, during the past six hours to 12:00 pm on June 2, lifting the national tally to 7,675, according to the Ministry of Health.
The number of locally-transmitted and imported cases has so far stood at 6,166, and 1,509, respectively. Meanwhile, the total of infections reported since April 27 when the fourth coronavirus wave hit the country amounted to 4,596.
