The painting contest "Vietnam - Cuba children in solidarity" launched by the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union took place from June 1 to August 1. Children in provinces and cities across the country are actively completing their works to prepare for the competition.
Ba Ria Vung Tau
Children's house of the southern Ba Ria - Vung Tau province recently held a drawing contest titled "Children's colors in 2023" to select 60 best paintings to send to the central drawing contest " Vietnam - Cuba children with solidarity " .

The contest had the participation of 300 primary and secondary school students from 7 districts, towns and cities in the province. Within 150 minutes, each contestant draws an A3-size picture with colors of their choice such as pencil, gouache, crayon, oil paint, watercolor, markers or other materials.
Through the contest picture, the children showed their understanding about the relationship of Cuban leader Fidel Castro with President Ho Chi Minh and the country and people of Vietnam; friendship and solidarity between the two countries in the past, present and future; understanding of the country of Cuba; along with activities of children of the two countries.

Ha Tinh
Right after the painting contest "Vietnam - Cuba children love solidarity" was launched, thousands of children in districts such as Vu Quang, Can Loc, Hong Linh town of the central province of Ha Tinh, participated in response.

Deputy Secretary of the District Youth Union Vu Quang Le Xuan Thang informed that the district union informed the commune union and the staff in charge of children to implement the contest effectively. the children can watch documentary films about the traditional history of Vietnam - Cuba, guide them through the steps of painting and unleash their creativity from the knowledge they have acquired.
The contest entries were carefully and meticulously drawn by children and students with youthful and cheerful colors, showing the solidarity and affection between the two peoples. In particular, 150 excellent works of art with rich messages were selected to be sent to the central contest.

Duong Phuong Anh, a student from Phan Kinh Primary School, Can Loc district, shared that participated in the contest helped her gain more understanding about the relationship between the two countries. The message she sends through the work is "Vietnam - Cuba unite to create strength" with the hope that the affection between the two peoples will deepen.

Nghe An
According to Tran Linh, deputy secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Nghe An Provincial Team Council, since the contest was launched, the Provincial Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization has directed 100% of the districts, cities and towns to promote and guide children to actively participate in the contest.

This is a meaningful activity aimed at propagating and nurturing children about the good friendship between the two peoples of Vietnam and Cuba, encouraging them to take concrete actions to continue praising and inculcating the special friendship between the people of Vietnam and Cuba in general and the young generations of the two countries in particular.

After the launching period, children from locally participated, typically in the districts of Nam Dan, Yen Thanh, Do Luong, Thanh Chuong, Que Phong. In the past month, the Provincial Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneer Organization has received more than 400 works.
