On March 30, a press interaction was organized by Embassy of India to Vietnam. In the conference, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Vietnam Sandeep Arya, said that as India and Vietnam celebrate their 50th anniversary honoring the legacies of the strong and deep relationship between the two countries, many activities are planned to preserve and cultivate the comprehensive strategic partnership along with the development priorities of the country in the current world situation.
Ambassador Sandeep Arya said that in 2023, there will be many activities to promote cooperation between the two countries in all fields. Specifically, in the field of trade and investment, there will be promotion of preferential policies for Vietnamese goods in India and preferential treatment for Indian goods in Vietnam. Business delegations from two countries will also be invited to visit the provinces.

In addition, both sides will strengthen tourism cooperation and promote people-to-people exchanges, specifically between universities, research institutes, pupils and students to have a better understanding of the two countries' cultures. Cooperation between localities and in the field of cinema, heritage conservation, and culture are also expanded.
“The strong affection between the people of the two countries is deeply rooted in our shared history, culture and heritage such as Buddhism and the ancient links of the Cham. The cooperation of academic institutions and policy think tanks of both sides can be further expanded through student exchanges, seminars and joint research in areas of mutual interest”, said Ambassador Sandeep Arya.
Besides art events, in 2023, the Indian Embassy will promote the Cultural Exchange Program for the period of 2022-2025, which was signed by both sides in December 2022. Accordingly, Vietnam and India will continue the project to preserve My Son heritage of Quang Nam province, grant scholarships for Vietnamese students and graduate students in Indian culture majors such as dance, theater, language, cuisine, etc.
In 2023, the Indian Embassy to Vietnam will continue to implement 10 Quick Impact Projects (QIPs) to bring practical and rapid benefits to Vietnamese communities including projects in education infrastructure, irrigation, water supply and social protection.
Ambassador Sandeep Arya expressed his hope to contribute to the journey of the Vietnam-India partnership in the coming years.
