The Congress was attended by Vice President of VUFO, Bui Khac Son; President of VCCI, President of VKFA, Vu Tien Loc, Ambassador of Korea to Vietnam, Kim Do-hyun, and distinguished guests.
Vice President of VUFO, Bui Khac Son, made a speech at the Congress.
Reportedly the last term witnessed numerous friendship activities organized by VKFA. These served as a bridge for economic, trade, tourism, cultural and sports cooperation and a boost for understanding between the peoples of Vietnam and the Republic of Korea (RoK).
The Congress approved five major issues and agreed on consolidating and improving its operation in the next term. Expanding membership of the Association, promoting people-to-people diplomacy activities between the two countries and contributing to the mobilization of resources from Korean NGOs are among the focuses of action in the next term.
Ambassador of Korea to Vietnam Kim Do-hyun congratulated the Congress on its success.
In his speech, Dr. Vu Tien Loc, President of VKFA expressed his hope of the support and collaboration from relevant authorities.
Vice President of VUFO, Bui Khac Son, appraised efforts and achievements of VKFA at all levels in its 2ndterm, congratulated the new Management Board of the Association and gave instructions on VKFA’s plan of action for the 3rd term.

The Congress also elected a 47-member executive committee for the 3rd term, with Vu Tien Loc, President of VKFA in the 2nd term, accredited President. Dang Hoang Can was elected the Chairman of the Association Inspection Committee for the tenure.
