The 3rd congress for the 2018-2023 tenure was held by the Phu Yen’s Vietnam – Russia Friendship Association in May 22.
Over the past tenure, Vietnam – Russia Friendship Association in Phu Yen had many practical and effective activities to develop the people diplomacy between two countries. The number of the Association’s members was also enlarged with extra 29 members and the total of members now is 125. Moreover, the Association helped to maintain Russian classes in Tuy Hoa city’s colleges.
In the congress, the Association elected an 9-member executive board with veteran Nguyen Dac Tan elected to the Chairman.
The Association’s plan for the next tenure is extending the propagated activities on people-to-people diplomacy of two countries, celebrating two countries’ anniversaries, establishing the new chapter in Tuy Hoa city, adding at least 15 members and opening the basic Russian class in Phu Yen Vocational College…
On this occasion, Central Committee of the Association gave 5 commendations to individuals and organizations having excellent achievements and 2 other individuals gained Friendship Orders of Russian Federation./.
