Vietnamese leaders offer sympathy to Germany, Belgium over severe floods

President Nguyen Xuan Phuc on July 17 sent a message of sympathy to President of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier over severe flooding triggered by torrential rains in the states of Rhineland-Palatinate, North Rhine-Westphalia and Saarland that claimed dozens of lives and left thousands missing.

On July 18, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent his sympathy to his Belgian counterpart Alexander De Croo over recent downpours and floods that caused huge human and property damage.

Record rainfalls caused rivers in Belgium to burst their banks, killing dozens of residents./.
