At the meeting, Zhang Qiang provided an overview of Yan'an, emphasizing that it is regarded as the “revolutionary cradle” of China, where the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was headquartered for 13 years (1935-1948). Located in northern Shaanxi, Yan’an is a site of significant historical and cultural value in China.

He noted that Yan’an City wishes to establish “sister-city” relationships with Vietnamese localities to lay the foundation for long-term, multi-sectoral cooperation.
For his part, President Phan Anh Son introduced the functions, responsibilities, and partners of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations.

He affirmed that the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations will actively play its role as a bridge to promote cooperation between Yan’an City and provinces and cities across Viet Nam. At the same time, it stands ready to support business delegations from Yan’an in conducting market surveys and directly connecting with potential partners in Viet Nam.
