Yan’an City (China) Seeks to Establish “Sister-City” Ties with Vietnamese Localities

This was the key message conveyed by Zhang Qiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Yan’an Municipal Party Committee and Head of the United Front Work Department of the Yan’an Municipal Party Committee (China), during a working session with President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations Phan Anh Son, on March 26 in Hanoi.

At the meeting, Zhang Qiang provided an overview of Yan'an, emphasizing that it is regarded as the “revolutionary cradle” of China, where the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China was headquartered for 13 years (1935-1948). Located in northern Shaanxi, Yan’an is a site of significant historical and cultural value in China.

For his part, President Phan Anh Son introduced the functions, responsibilities, and partners of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations.
