In the context of globalization, the Euro crisis affected not only to European countries but also to the world, Mr. Huay added, and the world economic priorities in 2013 aimed at resolving the crisis in the eurozone, consolidating and exploiting the potential of innovation, and overcoming the crisis in each country and all over the world.
Ms. Sonja Schrimpeck, FES Country Director’s Assistant, expressed thanks to VGFA for holding the seminar. Along with providing information about the Euro crisis, she hoped that the seminar will find solutions to prevent the present crisis.
Prof.Dr Christa Randzio-Plath said that the Euro, which was put in use in 1999, is a political project to deepen the European connections. The European Economic and Monetary Union (EMU) is the very one that connects the EU member states for the aim of harmonizing its economic and monetary policies.
The global economic and financial crisis has not only pushed EU and its member states into a difficult situation, but also put them before new challenges. Enhancement of EU’s power does require, along with EMU, establishment of an equal social alliance.
Various topics about economic and social issues in Vietnam and the world, why the UK not be a Euro member, the German satisfaction index of the Euro… were paid much attention./.
