The World Peace Council (WPC) expressed their condolences, noting: "Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong was steadfast in the forefront of the revolutionary cause, undertaking numerous high-level responsibilities, always committed to the Party's decisions, and ceaselessly fighting for the welfare of the Vietnamese people, both domestically and abroad, adhering to principle."

Prof. V.N. In the condolence letter from the International Board of Directors, the Global Leadership Board and staff of ActionAid International stated that: the General Secretary's leadership has helped Viet Nam reach many achievements and enhance its mettle and internal strength. The letter said: “Viet Nam has become one of the 35th largest economies in the world, in addition to ensuring that Viet Nam's human development index has continuously increased in recent years, showing the correct orientation of the Communist Party of Vietnam in harmonizing sustainable economic development without leaving anyone behind.”

Buck International (PSBI)/USA; Facing the World and VinaCapital Foundation (VCF)/USA; as well as emails from foreign friends who are in their 80s, 90s, who have long-standing ties with Viet Nam since the resistant war, such as painter George Burchett, American veteran Paul Reed, and peace activist Larry Levin. Embassies from countries such as the United States, Peru, Colombia, and others, along with the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, have shared their profound sadness and condolences on social media platforms like Facebook over the passing of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong.
