K. Raja Sekhar, General Secretary of ISCUF of Andhra Pradesh, said: The friendship between Viet Nam and India began more than 2,000 years ago through religious and cultural exchanges.Both countries endured a struggle against imperialism and colonialism to safeguard their national independence. Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Vietnamese President Ho Chi Minh were united in their vision for independence and sovereignty. Presently, India and Viet Nam boast dynamic economies.
“The Viet Nam-India relationship is a model for international partnership, characterized by mutual respect, common interests and a common vision for peace and stability in the region and the world,” said K. Raja Sekhar.
The General Secretary of ISCUF in Andhra Pradesh stated that ISCUF maintains a strong bond with Viet Nam. Throughout Viet Nam's fight for independence, ISCUF offered both spiritual and material assistance, held seminars, staged demonstrations, and raised slogans in support of Viet Nam. ISCUF frequently cooperates with the Vietnamese Ambassador to India and conducts events to commemorate Viet Nam's National Day on September 2 and President Ho Chi Minh's birthday on May 19 annually.

According to Phan Anh Son, President of the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations, Viet Nam and India have many similarities in religion and culture. The previous generations of leaders of the two countries consider each other as valuable friends, partners, and comrades. Currently, the cooperation between Viet Nam and India is increasingly vibrant and diverse; bringing specific and positive results to the people of the two countries.
Phan Anh Son expressed high regard for the recent collaborative efforts between the Viet Nam Union of Friendship Organizations and the Indian Society for Cultural Co-operation and Friendship. He hopes the two sides continue exchange working delegations and expand cooperative domains, including education, research, and culture, to enhance the effective partnership between VUFO and ISCUF, thereby reinforcing the friendship between the citizens of Viet Nam and India.
From July 22-25, a 13-member ISCUF delegation led by K. Raja Sekhar, General Secretary of ISCUF of Andhra Pradesh state, visits and works in Viet Nam. During the visit, the delegation will work with partners in Hanoi and visit and learn about economic and cultural facilities in Quang Ninh and Ninh Binh. |
