10,500 face masks arrived to Hungarian Embassy.
Recently, the Vietnam–Hungary Friendship Association has donated 10,500 face masks to Hungary. Ambassador Csaba Őry has sent a letter of appreciation to President of Vietnam - Hungary Friendship Association Nguyen Dang Vang and made sure that the donation would get to Hungary in order to help the fight against coronavirus.
To date, the relationship between Hungary – Vietnam has lasted for 70 years (1950 – 2020). What could better demonstrate the strength of the relationship than willingness to help each other, especially when the entire world is facing a truly unprecedented situation arising out of coronavirus.
The Vietnamese community in Hungary has also joined hands with local authorities in the fight against the pandemic. Medical face masks, cloth masks, and protective gloves have been mobilised among overseas Vietnamese in Hungary to present to local hospitals and health centres.
The sought-after items have been bought by Vietnamese volunteers in just one week raising fund.
Ambassador Csaba Őry expressed its gratitude to the Association’s determination to combat the disease, as well as the strength of the Hungary-Vietnamese friendship.
The number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Hungary has increased to 980, according to data by government coronavirus information site koronavirus.gov.hu.
